Friday's contemplation: Who knows, it was my fault!

I read news about how severe was the winter in the north America. While in Indonesia, flooding occurred in many places.

Although here in the UK the winter was surprisingly warmer than usual, the country unfortunately had to deal with similar disaster. There was flooding in several regions here as a brutal combination of tides, rains, and winds.

Dwelling about what happened regarding the weather situation around the globe leads me to the verses of the Qur'an. Perhaps this daunting situation was also due to my faults (sins), either consciously or unconsciously. O... my Lord, I seek thy forgiveness for my wrongdoings.

And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. (QS. 42:30)

What comes to you of good is from Allah , but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. (QS. 4:79)

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. (QS. 30:41)
